The rugged coast at Shelter Cove along the Northern California Coast presents an often beautiful show. This gem was captured at a gorgeous black-sand beach just to the north of town.

Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe.
