Description
No, not smokin' A bowl...
I wanted to try and light so I could smooth the smoke stream a bit, leaving the shutter open just a tad longer so get that effect.
Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe. The vision is to enhance what nature and the surrounding world provide without taking away any of the wonder and majesty of our world. When working with people the goal is to also enhance the beauty and dignity already within each and every one of us.
With a Canon 6D with a variety of lenses, along with digital editing software such as Lightroom and Photoshop, Don specializes in scenic landscapes and seascapes, living in one of the most beautiful areas in the world, as well as fashion portraiture, often combining the two. Don is an award-winning photographer. He has been published in several magazines and online publications, and was featured as a Guest Blogger by world renowned commercial photographer Ron Martinsen.
"My wish is for you to view the images here and more deeply appreciate the spectacular beauty that nature has so freely given us. To inspire you to visit these places, as well as taking a moment to look around a give a deeper mind to what's near, is what I hope you find here." - Don
