The new span of the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge opened on Monday night, September 2, 2013. On Sept. 3 the deconstruction of the old span began, and the lights on it were off forever.

Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe. The vision is to enhance what nature and the surrounding world provide without taking away any of the wonder and majesty of our world.
