Artist's Description
Having some fun with the fireworks I shot on the 4th. There wasn't much around to make them interesting, so the Bay Bridge works well. The fireworks were shot with theCanon 6D, the bridge was shot with my new Canon 5D MKIII. Fireworks shot with the 24-70 2.8L II, bridge with the 16-35 2.8L II. Fireworks shot at f/9, bridge at f/16.
Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe.
