Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
The remnant of a lone tree stands under star trails in Yolo County, Calif. I'd stumbled on this spot last year and have been wanting to return. I finally got a chance and am really happy with the results. The half-moon gave enough light to really let the tree stand out.
Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe. The vision is to enhance what nature and the surrounding world provide without taking away any of the wonder and majesty of our world.
