Artist's Description
The sun sets along the rocky Northern California Coast near Moss Beach. A famous cove just north of Half Moon Bay, Calif. It's always amazing to me how close scenes like this are to a major metropolitan area. Around 10 miles to the north lays the sprawling congestion of San Francisco.
Graduating from San Jose State University with a BS in photojournalism, Don Hoekwater moved away from photographing events to more artistic and creative imaging. While his photographs retain their realism, Don expands the colors and details that result in beautifully stunning views full of color and awe. The vision is to enhance what nature and the surrounding world provide without taking away any of the wonder and majesty of our world. When working with people the goal is to also enhance the beauty and dignity already within each and every one of us.
