Description
Sunbeams shine down on Burney Falls in McArthur-Burney Falls State Park in Northeastern California. At 129-feet it's not the largest or the tallest waterfall in the state, but might just be the most beautiful. The falls are named after Samuel Burney, a pioneer who lived in the area in the 1850s. The Burney family saved the falls from development by purchasing the land and donating it to the state in 1920s.
